International Trade Fair of Technologies for the Production and Processing of Potatoes and Vegetables POTATO HORTI AGRITECH

From 24 to 26 January 2024, at the Crocus Expo IEC in Moscow, the International Trade Fair of Technologies for the Production and Processing of Potatoes and Vegetables POTATO HORTI AGRITECH will open its doors to the industry professionals. The fair is organized by Agros Expo Group with the support of the Russian Potato Union.

ABOUT THE FAIR

At the very beginning of 2024, POTATO HORTI AGRITECH will bring together in Moscow Russian and international manufacturers and suppliers of modern technology and services for the production and processing of potatoes and vegetables. Investors, managers, seed breeders, agronomists, processing technologists, technical and other specialists in the field of growing and processing potatoes and vegetables, representatives of trade and retail companies, consulting, financial and insurance services, quality control services, industry associations, science, education and government bodies will attend the fair.

Co-located with AGROS Expo, one of the most famous and visited trade fairs in the Russian agricultural industry, and held in January – the best time to attend industry fairs, with the active support of the Potato Union and other professional associations,

POTATO HORTI AGRITECH will host a large number of professional visitors.

Both fairs are expected to involve more than 600 exhibitors on an exhibition area of about 40,000 sqm and about 400 speakers, industry experts, at more than 60 conferences. This will attract over 17,000 specialist visitors from all over Russia and neighboring countries.

More than 120 exhibitors, about 100 expert speakers at more than 20 business events are expected at the POTATO HORTI AGRITECH trade fair.

ABOUT THE MARKET AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR INTERNATIONAL SUPPLIERS With a production of around 20 million tons, Russia is one of the potato giants. It is also among the top 10 vegetable growing countries. In 2022, the industrial production of potatoes and vegetables in Russia amounted to 7.2 million tons each, showing an increase of 9.6 and 10 percent, respectively.

Further development in these sectors is expected and forecasted. The Russian Potato Union aims to reach the one-million-hectare mark for potato production in the coming years from the current 300,000 hectares. Of particular importance in this context is the expansion of potato and vegetable processing capacities, the volume of which is also expected to triple by 2026.

This requires greater efficiency, which in turn requires modern machinery, technology, equipment and other resources for production and processing - a major opportunity for international manufacturers and suppliers to increase their sales.
