Registration for the conference «CIS Sugar Market 2021» is being completed

According to the Russian Sugar Union, in the current production season of 2020/21, Russia is expected to reduce the volume of beet sugar production to the lowest level in the last five years of 5.19 million tons, which is almost 2.5 million tons lower than in the 2019/20 season. Wholesale sugar prices after the minimum seven-year values in 2019/20 have recovered to the level of 2016. For the first time, as part of an agreement between producers and commodity distribution networks, "state regulation" was introduced in the sugar market in December 2020.

Issues of the functioning of the sugar market of the CIS countries, the balance of supply and demand of the world sugar market, support measures at national levels, ensuring the level of sugar production sufficient for domestic consumption in the EAEU countries will be the main topics of the conference.

Taking into account the existing sanitary restrictions, in 2021 the conference will be held on March 26 in two formats-full-time at the Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel (Europe Square, 2) and online by Zoom.
