IKAR in Mass MediaProdimex took part in the international agricultural conference“Where’s the Margin” conference was organized in Moscow, bringing together agricultural producers and suppliers for the agricultural sector, manufacturers of material and technical resources, traders and food companies, financiers, government representatives, and many others. This is an annual conference held by the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies since 2009. The conference program consisted of 11 thematic sessions. Session topics included: ’Russian Agricultural and Food Markets: Current Status and Prospects,’ ’Grains, Oilseeds, Sugar, Vegetables, Milk, and Meat. Prospects for Niche Crops’ among others. Alexey Ugarov, CEO of Prodimex Agro Management Company represented Prodimex Group at the conference. He moderated the session ’Import substitution in seed production — first results and problems.’ As a reminder, Vadim Eryzhensky, Deputy General Director of Prodimex Group, commented on this same topic in a recent interview. ‘Increasing both the production of our own hybrids and their use in the fields is not an easy task. Butwe’re already seeing results. We are one of two participants in the federal sugar beet seed-breeding project. That is, we’re developing our own hybrids and producing our own seeds, but as of now not yet in quantities comparable to market demand,’ he explained. By 2030, Prodimex Group plans to achieve the 50% import substitution target set by the government decree. However, it’s important not only to increase production volumes. The key is to ensure that the quality of these hybrids corresponds to market demand and existing sugar production technologies, ultimately resulting in high-grade sugar beets with certain parameters. 19 февраля 2026 года Source: prodimex.ru | #WhereTheMarginIs | Comments: 0 Views: 0
