Russia-s 2018/19 grain exports seen at up to 50 mln T -IKAR

MOSCOW, Feb 2 (Reuters) - Russia is expected to produce 120-130 million tonnes of grain in 2018, of which 45-50 million tonnes will be available for exports in the 2018/19 marketing season which will start on July 1, the IKAR agriculture consultancy said on Friday.

∙ Russia's wheat crop may come at 73-82 million tonnes, of which 32-36 million tonnes could be exported in 2018/19, IKAR told a conference
∙ Its estimate for 2018 grain crop is preliminary and is significantly higher than an estimate of 106 million tonnes provided by the Agriculture Ministry this week
∙ "We do not believe in this estimate at all," IKAR's Dmitry Rylko said regarding the ministry's forecast
∙ Russia, one of the world's largest grain exporters, harvested a record grain crop of 135 million tonnes in 2017
∙ In the current 2017/18 marketing year, which lasts until the end of June, IKAR expects Russia's grain exports at 47.7 million tonnes, including 36.5 million tonnes of wheat
∙ Russia exported a record 31.5-31.9 million tonnes of grain, including 24.3-24.7 million tonnes of wheat, between July 1, 2017, and Jan. 31, 2018
∙ Barley exports totalled 3.3 million to 3.7 million tonnes during that period
