IKAR raises Russia's 2017 wheat crop forecast

MOSCOW, Oct 17 (Reuters) - Russian agriculture consultancy IKAR on Tuesday raised its forecast for the country's 2017 wheat crop:

IKAR raised its estimate for Russia's wheat crop to 83.2-83.7 million tonnes from the previously expected 82.5-83.5 million tonnes;
∙ Its forecast for the country's 2017 barley crop remains unchanged at 20.2-20.6 million tonnes;
∙ The forecast for 2017 maize (corn) crop was downgraded to 13.5 million tonnes from 13.9 million tonnes;
∙ Russia's Agriculture Ministry sees Russia's 2017 wheat crop at up to 83 million tonnes.
