IKAR in Mass MediaRussia's IKAR raises 2025 wheat harvest forecast as winter crop situation improves24 марта 2025 года MOSCOW, March 24 (Reuters) - Russia's IKAR consultancy has raised its baseline 2025 wheat crop forecast to 82.5 million metric tons from 81.0 million tons previously, it said on Monday. IKAR head Dmitry Rylko emphasised that an improved situation for winter crops in some grain-producing regions was the main factor behind the increase. "We see an improvement in the situation with winter crops in the south and centre of the country while the situation in the Volga region remains uncertain," Rylko said. Going by a pessimistic scenario, the wheat crop is expected to total 78.5 million tons while an optimistic scenario provides a projection of 86.5 million tons, Rylko said. Both figures are 1.5 million tons higher than the previous forecasts. Source: Reuters | #grain | Comments: 0 Views: 4
