Paris Grain Day set for Jan. 30

PARIS, FRANCE — Attendees of Paris Grain Day will discuss international trade and the main challenges of the global grain sector during the event set for Jan. 30-31 in Paris, France. Sessions will look at critical areas such as China and the Black Sea region, which will influence prices in 2020.

The event is expected to attract more than 300 traders, brokers, banks, insurance companies and others in the commodities markets, representing more than 25 countries.

Speakers will share expertise during plenary sessions, roundtable discussions and debates. Scheduled speakers include Dmitry Rylko, general director of IKAR, the main agency for consulting and analysis of the agricultural market in Russia; Jean-Philippe Everling, founder and general director of Transgrain France, a cereals export company in the Mediterranean basin; Kim Benni, commodity trading and price risk management expert; Isabelle Job-Bazille, chief economist at Crédit Agricole SA; Isaac Hankes, weather research analyst specializing in agriculture at Refinitiv; and Sébastien Abis, managing director of Demeter and researcher at IRIS.

The event will conclude with a vote for a bullish or bearish Paris Grain Day consensus 2020, reflecting the audience’s market opinion. A welcome reception is planned Jan. 30 at a hotel in the heart of Paris.
