June 28 (Bloomberg) -- Russia’s wheat crop will be 2 percent lower than previously forecast at 57 million metric tons because of adverse weather in some regions, the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies said.

The institute, also known as IKAR, had forecast 58 million tons. The Russian grain crop will likely come to 87.5 million tons, down from the previous forecast of 88.5 million tons, Dmitry Rylko, the institute’s director, said by telephone today.
