Russian Beet-Sugar Output to Fall at Least 6% in 2018-19: IKAR

(Bloomberg) -- Production of white sugar from beets may total 6m-6.3m tons in the season that starts in August, according to Evgeny Ivanov, analyst at consultant IKAR in Moscow.

That compares with 6.65m tons produced during the current season, Ivanov says by phone

Output this season includes sugar produced from sugar syrup and molasses

Area planted with sugar beets fell almost 6% y/y to 1.13m ha, according to Agriculture Ministry data compiled by IKAR
