The conference is meant for ag inputs manufacturers, dealers and distributors, financiers, insurers, agroholdings and independent producers, agricultural and agribusiness investors, policy makers.
The purpose of the Conference is to create the platform where agricultural producers and their counterparts along the vertical supply chain meet together just before the start of season and have a complex discussion on opportunities and challenges of the upcoming crop marketing year and the years ahead.
During the Conference the representatives of EBRD/IFC will introduce a new financial instrument, Crop Certificate (CC), which both institutions intend to launch to serve the growing financing needs of Black Sea CIS agriculture. The PC has already showed its great potential in agricultural economy of Brazil.

In 2008 the Russian agricultural sector had demonstrated highest ever annual growth rate: more than 8%. In 2009 the prices and margins across the sector have suffered a lot, although agriculture and agribusiness in general demonstrate much stronger performance than the rest of Russian economy. Despite the crisis the country has generally confirmed its status of evolving global agribusiness superpower.
What are the start-up economic conditions and market environment in 2010/11 season? Are the government measures sufficient and adequate to the situation? How the companies' strategies are adopting along the vertical supply chain? What are the new values for agricultural assets in post-crisis economy? These and other issues will be in the focus of the Conference.
We believe the Conference will stimulate the exchange of news and new ideas, and contribute to better corporate strategies and government decisions.
