IKAR in Mass MediaRussia Seen Shipping Up to 500,000 Tons of Grain by Season's End16 мая 2013 года May 16 (Bloomberg) -- Russia may export as much as 500,000 metric tons of grain before the current season's end next month, according to the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies. "We see that exports from May 15 to June 30, when the season ends, can reach between 400,000 tons of grain to 500,000 tons," Dmitry Rylko, general director at Ikar, as the Moscow-based institute is known, said by phone. Shipments for the entire season may be as high as 15.7 million tons, with 8 million to 9 million tons of grain harvested last year remaining in stockpiles, Rylko said. Russia delivered 14.7 million tons of grain through April, according to Agriculture Ministry figures cited yesterday by the Interfax news agency. Grain exports from Russia in the coming season may increase to between 21 million and 23 million tons, Rylko said. Hot weather in central and southern regions from the start of this month might affect the new-season crop and Ikar has yet to make an estimate of potential losses, he said.
