Export Summary-Saudi Arabia buys wheat, U.S. corn sold to unknown

March 4 (Reuters) - Snapshot of the global export markets for grains, oilseeds and edible oils as reported by government and private sources.

WHEAT SALE: Saudi Arabia bought 465,000 tonnes of hard wheat (12.5 percent protein minimum) and 110,000 tonnes of soft wheat (11 percent protein minimum) for delivery between June-August 2013 from six international suppliers, its Grain Silos and Flour Mills Organisation (GSFMO) said on Sunday.

CORN SALE: Private exporters reported the sale of 100,000 tonnes of U.S. corn to unknown destinations for delivery this marketing year, said the Agriculture Department on Monday.

RICE SALE: South Korea bought a total of 13,229 tonnes of rice via tenders closed on Feb. 20, while passing other tenders as they failed to meet the requirements, a source from the state-run Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corp said on Monday.

WHEAT TENDER: The Lebanese government's grains buyer has issued a tender to buy 50,000 tonnes of optional-origin milling wheat, European traders said on Monday. The tender deadline is Wednesday, March 6.

CORN TENDER: South Korea's largest feedmaker Nonghyup Feed (NOFI) is seeking up to 140,000 tonnes of corn for arrival between July and August via tenders on Monday, traders said.

SOYBEAN TENDER: South Korea is seeking 10,000 tonnes of non-genetically modified (non-GM) yellow soybeans for arrival by July 30 via a tender, the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corp said. Registration for the tender will close on March 12 and electronic bids will be held on March 13, the agency said.

PENDING TENDERS

WHEAT TENDER: Syria's state grains agency said it had issued a tender to purchase and import 100,000 tonnes of soft milling wheat. The tender deadline is March 4.

BARLEY TENDER: Jordan's state grains buyer has issued an international tender to purchase 100,000 tonnes of feed barley, European traders said. Tender deadline is March 5.

RICE TENDER: Iraq issued a tender to buy a minimum of 30,000 tonnes of rice with origins from the United States, Uruguay, Thailand and Argentina, the Iraqi trade ministry said in a statement. The closing date for the tender is March 4, and offers must be valid until March 8.

WHEAT TENDER: Jordan's state grains buyer has issued an international tender to purchase 100,000 tonnes of milling wheat to be sourced from optional origins, European traders said. Tender deadline is Mar. 6.

WHEAT TENDER: The Taiwan Flour Millers' Association has issued a tender to purchase 93,680 tonnes of milling wheat to be sourced from the United States, European traders said. Tender deadline is Mar. 7 and shipment in April and May was sought.

RICE TENDER: South Korea is seeking a combined 64,682 tonnes of non-glutinous rice for arrival between June and July via tenders, the state-run Korea Argo-Fisheries & Food Trade Corp said on its website. Registration for the tenders will close on March 11 and electronic bids will be held on March 12, the agency said.

TOP STORIES: Brazilian grains analytics firm Agroconsult raised its forecast for record soy and corn crops on Monday, citing the favorable climate in southern producing regions.

* Archer Daniels Midland Co unwittingly used a vessel controlled by a sanctioned Iranian shipping firm last year to transport grain, in what it said was an effort by Tehran to hide the ship's ownership.

* Russia imported 891,000 tonnes of grains between July and February this season to cover domestic demand after a drought, the Institute for Agricultural Market Studies (IKAR) said on Monday.
