IKAR in Mass MediaOver 93% of winter grain crops in Russia are in normal condition, Deputy PM says11 апреля 2025 года MOSCOW, April 11 (Reuters) - More than 93% of winter grain crops in Russia are in normal condition, the TASS state news agency quoted Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev as saying on Friday. The state of winter crops in Russia, the world's largest wheat exporter, caused concern after reports late last year that at least 37% of winter crops were in poor condition. "The assessment conducted in April showed that more than 93% of winter grain crops are in normal condition. This is particularly significant considering the extremely challenging weather conditions last year," Patrushev was quoted as saying. Russian grain crops were hit by extreme weather from early spring frosts to drought in 2024. IKAR consultancy sees the 2025 grain harvest at 129.5 million metric tons, above the 126 million tons gathered last year. The wheat harvest is seen by IKAR at 82.5 million tons in a baseline scenario. Source: Reuters | #grain | Comments: 0 Views: 2
