IKAR in Mass MediaDmitry Rylko: the problems of the dairy industry are obvious28 февраля 2018 года As it was noted by General Director of IKAR Dmitry Rylko in the course of the III Forum of dairy analysts, the problems in the dairy industry of the Russian Federation are obvious today. "There is a crisis phenomenon and there are problems with the sale of dairy products. The crisis is going deeper. I think that measures against Belarus are not accidental," - said Dmitry Rylko. According to the expert, the growth in the production of commercial milk is stable, but last year the entire increase went into inventories, which grew by about 110%. "For the first time our company has seen a decline in raw milk prices in January and February. It happened for the first time in the history of the Russian market. Everything goes into inventory", - said Rylko. Against the background of milk production growth prices in Russia are higher than in the world. "We are super attractive for imports, as prices are much higher than world prices. All this because in parallel with stimulation of growth of production in state policy there is an informal task for regional and district farms to keep the number of cows. Hence, prices continue to be determined by an inefficient group of dairy farms. Only three out of ten will say that milk is a profitable business and will continue to develop it," Rylko said. According to the analyst, milk prices in Russia are too high. In addition, there are a lot of other problems, including technical and technological ones. "At the same time, I do not agree that it is necessary to leave for the expensive price segment. We see the product on those shelves that are able to bear these price tags. But let's go to any supermarket in the South of Russia. They don’t know what to do with milk. We won’t be able to find any natural dairy cheese. Why? The local population is not able to keep these price tags", - summed Rylko. Source: DairyNews.ru | #dairy | Comments: 0 Views: 12
