According to IKAR, last week the price of new crop wheat with 12.5-percent protein increased in Novorossiysk up to $206 per ton from $200 FOB last week. Analysts SovEcon have recorded increase of the price of this class of wheat for $2.5 with $204,5 per tonne FOB. “The market continues to monitor the imperfect condition of the new crop in the EU and try to assess the size of the harvest in the Black sea region, especially in the South of Russia”, – said in the review SovEcon. SovEcon says that the sale of a new crop while there is very carefully, with an eye on falling grain reserves, strengthened the ruble and inactive sales farmers – some of them have just sold out of old crop at record prices. “For many traders the 2019/20 season of years were very difficult, and they can’t afford mistakes in the new season,” say analysts SovEcon. Last week Interfax reported that Stavropol Krai, one of the key producers of grain in Russia may lose up to 40% of the crop due to frosts, hail and drought. The Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation from the beginning of April has sold 1.44 million tons of grain from the intervention Fund. Since the beginning of the marketing season 2019/20 years on 4 June, Russia exported 35.4 million tons of grain, which is 14% less than last season. Exports of wheat reached 30.3 million tons, or 11% less barley – 2.74 million tonnes (41% lower), corn – 2,43 million tons (7% less), leads SovEcon data from official customs statistics. In the domestic market, wheat prices remained on average stable, say analysts, with the exception of some increase in the Central region, where there were fears of delay of new crop due to cold weather. The price of third-grade wheat rose for the week of 25 rubles to 13.975 rubles per tonne, fourth – 50 rubles up to 13.75 rubles per ton without transportation to the European part of Russia, SovEcon says. The price of sunflower seeds increased by 375 roubles to roubles for 25.650 tons, sunflower oil – by 925 52.750 rubles to rubles. Export prices for sunflower oil rose $5 to $750 per ton FOB.
