CIS Sugar Market 2019/2020

Despite the decline in beet sugar production to the estimated level of 9.1 million tonnes, according to the forecast for this season, the CIS countries continue to develop export programmes. In 2018, exports of white sugar can reach 1.4 million tonnes - just a little lower than last year's record. The main drivers are Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, who are developing both transport and logistics infrastructure in order to penetrate new markets in the environment of tough competition.

The changing development vector of the sugar market puts new CIS challenges before both regional sugar producers and exporters and Central Asian importers, as well as their international partners. The conference will focus on a number of crucial issues for the region, including:
