Russia – The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation estimated the export potential of sugar in 1 million tonne

The annual volume of sugar exports from Russia should be about 1 million tonnes, said Anatoly Kutsenko, director of the department of economy, investment and regulation of markets of the agro-industrial complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation at the agrarian conference "Where is the margin-2018".

"We are now on the export potential of sugar in 1 million tonnes, we must stay at this level," he said. Kutsenko recalled that in 2017, Russia sent 550 thousand tonnes of sugar for export. According to his forecasts, in the 2017-2018 agricultural year, exports will be from 700 thousand to 1 million tonnes of sugar.
