IKAR in Mass MediaCBOT wheat ends higher in light bounce from contract lows24 августа 2017 года CHICAGO, Aug 23 (Reuters) - Wheat futures on the Chicago Board of Trade closed higher on Wednesday on bargain buying and short-covering after nearby months fell to contract lows, traders said. * CBOT December wheat settled up 1 cent at $4.30 per bushel after setting a contract low at $4.28. * K.C. December hard red winter wheat ended down 1-1/4 cents at $4.25-3/4 a bushel while MGEX December spring wheat rose 3/4 cent at $6.57. * Rallies were capped by fears that a bumper Russian wheat harvest would pad already-ample global supplies. Russian consulting firm IKAR on Tuesday raised its forecast range for Russia's 2017 crop to 79 million to 82 million tonnes, from its previous range of 77 million to 80 million. * Nearly all of France's soft wheat crop this year will surpass the key 11.5 percent protein level, confirming good quality results expected for this year's harvest in the European Union's top producer, provisional data showed. * Ahead of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's weekly export sales report on Thursday, analysts expected the government to report weekly U.S. wheat sales at 300,000 to 600,000 tonnes.
