Russia. Handling cost in Black Sea ports decreased

05 мая 2017 года

The cost of grain handling in the Black Sea ports dropped from USD 27-28/MT to USD 16-17/MT. The Director General of the Institute for Agrarian Market Studies (IKAR), Dmitry Rylko announced this estimate.

In his opinion, the reason is that about a half of the volume that is loaded on the terminals of Azov-Don basin goes to inshore handling in the Russian port Caucasus. He noted that this year exports through the Black Sea ports increased from slightly more than 10 MMT to 11.5 MMT, informs UkrAgroConsult.
