IKAR in Mass Media16 March - CIS Sugar Market 201722 декабря 2016 года The International Conference «The CIS Sugar Market» will take place for the 6th time in Moscow in March 2017. This is the only event in the sugar calendar focusing on the Eurasian Community (ЕАEC) providing a comprehensive update on the major drivers and challenges for a market consuming more than 9 mln tonnes of sugar a year. Each year this event brings about 300 delegates representing leading companies involved in beet and cane growing, sugar processing and trading, as well as companies providing beet seeds, pesticides, fertilizers and agricultural machinery, logistical and insurance support to the sugar industry. 2017 is expected to be a challenging year for many in the sugar world – despite the global decit and seemingly remunerative for exporters level of world prices, the industry has to focus on further improvements in efciency and lowering production costs along the whole chain from crop growing to sugar and by-products marketing and distribution. New challenges worldwide, in general, and in the CIS countries, in particular, include likely modications in regional trade ows. With some radical changes in the EU sugar regime a signicant increase in the bloc's white sugar exports is widely expected. Will sugar from Russia and Belarus be competitive against sugar from Western Europe in Asia? Will Ukraine manage to increase its deliveries to the EU? Can the EAEC countries be successful in their efforts to resuscitate beet selection and domestic beet seed production? What are the challenges and rewards for foreign investors in the sugar sector in the CIS countries? These are the main topics to be addressed by authoritative international and domestic speakers. The conference will have simultaneous interpretation into English and Russian. The cost for participants includes the conference material, lunch and refreshments during coffee breaks. Registration fee: 450€ If register till December 31, 2016: 350€ Source: IKAR | #sugar #CIS-Sugar-Conference | Comments: 0 Views: 106
