IKAR in Mass MediaRussia winds down raws processing18 июля 2014 года Raw sugar processing will end in Russia by the end of the month, the Institute of Agricultural Market Studies or Ikar said on its website. The Izobilnensky sugar factory in Stavropol Territory will finish refining raws by July 19th and the Primorye sugar factory in the Far East by July 30th. According to national sugar producers’ association Soyuzrossakhar, as of July 14th, refineries had produced 610,000mt of sugar from imported raws compared with 512,000mt at the same date last year. Farms of all categories planted sugar beet on over 0.9 million ha in the first half of the year, 1.4% more than in the same period of 2013, data from Russia's Federal State Statistics Service showed, Interfax reports.
